GRAHAM, N.C. — A police chase in Graham leads to AK 47 seizure, police said.
Officers tried to stop a silver Corolla on Washington Street for reckless driving.
The driver was identified as Lapadre Harris. He refused to pull over which led officers to a pursuit towards downtown Graham.
The pursuit concluded on Pravas Lane where officers successfully arrested Harris. During the arrest, a handgun was found concealed in Harris' pants and an AK47 was found in the back of the car.
In addition to the guns being found, officers found 8.4 grams of marijuana. Harris was charged with fleeing, carrying a concealed gun, and various gun charges.
He is currently being held on a $20,000 bond.
