REIDSVILLE, N.C. — Reidsville police said multiple people face charges connected to a fraud investigation at a Rockingham County assisted living center.
The Reidsville Police Department said they filed over 60 arrest warrants and arrested seven people for fraudulently stealing and cashing checks from Pine Forrest Rest Home on 312 Broad Street. Two of the suspects worked at the facility.
Investigators said the suspects are accused of stealing $20,000 over four months back in 2023.
Police said they're still looking for two of the suspects.
The following people were charged in connection to this investigation.
Christy R. Fountain, age 35, of Reidsville, NC, was charged with:
- Uttering a Forged Endorsement
- Uttering a Forged Instrument
- Obtaining Property by False Pretenses
- Felony Larceny, Misdemeanor Larceny
- Larceny by Employee
- Conspiracy
Police said Fountain was arrested without incident by the Reidsville Police Department. Fountain was an employee of Pine Forest Rest Home at the time of this incident.
Moreca Dickerson, age 37, of Reidsville, NC, was charged with:
- Uttering a Forged Endorsement
- Uttering a Forged Instrument
- Obtaining Property by False Pretenses
- Misdemeanor Larceny
- Larceny by Employee
- Conspiracy
The Rockingham County Sheriff's Office arrested Dickerson without incident. During this incident, Dickerson was an employee of Pine Forest Rest Home.
Julie W. Inman, age 25, of Reidsville, NC, was charged with:
- Uttering a Forged Endorsement
- Uttering a Forged Instrument
- Obtaining Property by False Pretenses
- Felony Larceny
- Misdemeanor Larceny
- Conspiracy
Inman was arrested without incident by the Reidsville Police Department.
James M. Lewis, age 41, of Greensboro, NC, was charged with:
- Uttering a Forged Endorsement
- Uttering a Forged Instrument
- Obtaining Property by False Pretenses
- Felony Larceny
- Misdemeanor Larceny
- Conspiracy
Lewis has not been arrested.
Whitney R. Cunningham, age 36, of Reidsville, NC, was charged with:
- Uttering a Forged Endorsement
- Uttering a Forged Instrument
- Obtaining Property by False Pretenses
- Felony Larceny
- Misdemeanor Larceny
- Conspiracy
Cunningham was arrested without incident by the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office.
Anthony J. Carter, age 32, of Reidsville, NC, was charged with:
- Uttering a Forged Endorsement
- Uttering a Forged Instrument
- Obtaining Property by False Pretenses
- Felony Larceny
- Misdemeanor Larceny
- Conspiracy
Carter was arrested without incident by the Reidsville Police Department.
Charles R. Fountain, age 27, of Waycross, GA, was charged with:
- Uttering a Forged Endorsement
- Uttering a Forged Instrument
- Obtaining Property by False Pretenses
- Felony Larceny
- Misdemeanor Larceny
- Conspiracy
Fountain has not been arrested.
Sherriel Broadnax, age 33, of Reidsville, NC, was charged with:
- Uttering a Forged Endorsement
- Uttering a Forged Instrument
- Obtaining Property by False Pretenses
- Felony Larceny
- Misdemeanor Larceny
- Conspiracy
Broadnax was arrested without incident by the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office.
Jervita L. Foster, age 62, of Reidsville, NC, was charged with:
- Uttering a Forged Endorsement
- Uttering a Forged Instrument
- Obtaining Property by False Pretenses
- Felony Larceny
- Misdemeanor Larceny
- Conspiracy
Foster was arrested without incident by the Reidsville Police Department.
