HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — Orange County deputies have identified the person killed in a shooting Wednesday.
Lee Andre Foster, 59, was shot and killed.
Deputies found him with a gunshot to the back of the head on Ferguson Road just after 2 p.m.
Darron Nelson Downey, 54, was charged with second degree murder. Both Downey and Foster have Chapel Hill addresses located in the unincorporated part of Orange County.
Deputies said the suspect and the victim knew each other and there is no ongoing threat to the community.
