WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Shots were fired at a Winston-Salem Police Officer during a call for service at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department (WSPD).
Officers said they were called to the 5000 Block of Old Plantation Circle for an assault on a female call.
The suspect allegedly shot at officers from inside a home, but no officers were injured.
Officers did not fire their weapons back, according to the WSPD.
The Criminal Investigations Division (CID) has assumed investigative responsibility, police said.
