DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — An exceptional children's teacher from North Davidson High School was accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student, according to Davidson County deputies.
Jackson Alexander Perrell, 23, was suspended with pay from his duties and detained by detectives for further investigation.
On Wednesday, Davidson County School System administrators were made aware of a possible inappropriate relationship between Perrell and a student at North Davidson High School.
Perrell was charged with indecent liberties with a student. He will appear in court on April 30.
Perrell began working with Davidson County Schools in August 2023 as an exceptional children's teacher, the district said. They said he was a member of the football coaching staff.
This is an ongoing investigation.
