GREENVILLE, N.C. — Greenville police are investigating after finding a newborn baby in a dumpster at an apartment complex Sunday morning.
Police said they responded to the call on Bridle Circle shortly after 10 a.m. Temperatures were in the low 40s.
Officers found the child alive and said the baby appeared to be just one or two days old. The baby was taken to ECU Health Medical Center for care.
Detectives are now trying to figure out who left the infant in the dumpster.
