WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Greensboro police have searched for 15 years to find who killed this North Carolina A&T student and they're still looking.
On Jan. 25, 2009, someone killed Dennis Hayle outside his off-campus apartment. Officers found his body outside his door on Homeland Avenue.
He was 22 years old.
Crime Stoppers told WFMY News 2 that detectives don't have any updates to share.
Sgt. J.R. Waddell with the Greensboro Police Department said this cold case is one of 170 in Greensboro alone.
"There is always somebody out there that does know something and that you always have hope that, it will weigh on somebody that person that did see it and it will weigh on them enough that they will come forward and be willing to speak to us," said Waddell.
"Every person who died is somebody somebody [...] they all deserve the same The same amount of care and the same amount of attention and that’s why we maintain these corner cold cases and we don’t give up on them," said Waddell.
A $10,000 dollar reward is offered for information leading to an arrest.
