Alamance County teacher charged with indecent liberties fired, facing more charges, deputies say

The Alamance-Burlington Board of Education voted to terminate the employment of Ivan Ardila-Perez.

ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. — Alamance said the Southern Alamance Middle School teacher that was charged with indecent liberties with students was served four additional warrants. 

Deputies said Ivan Ardila-Perez remains in the Alamance County Detention Center. With the additional charges, Mr. Ardila-Perez’s bond was increased from $100,000 to $300,000.

If you remember, we learned that the Spanish teacher and soccer coach, Mr. Ardila-Perez, is on leave without pay.

The school district said they recently voted to terminate his employment.

Investigators say a total of six students have come forward, alleging these crimes.
