Mom, Daughter Arrested on Drug Charges: Mount Airy Police

MOUNT AIRY, N.C. -- A mother-daughter duo was arrested on drug charges in Surry County on Tuesday.

Mt. Airy Police and Surry County Sheriff's Investigators say they were doing a drug suppression operation in the area of Holly Springs.

Officers searched the car of the mom, Maureen Cleary Williams, and found a fourth of an ounce meth, digital scales, plastic baggies and other drug paraphernalia. She was charged with possession with intent to make, sell, and deliver and schedule II narcotic and maintaining a drug vehicle, which are both felonies.

Williams' daughter, Kerri Nicole Williams, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Maureen Williams was released on a $10,000 unsecured bond, and Kerri Williams was released after signing a written promise to appear in court.
