MOCKSVILLE, N.C. — A 47-year-old man was arrested Friday after an electronic tracking device showed he came onto the grounds of South Davie Middle School the day prior, according to the Davie County Sheriff's Office.
According to deputies, they received a report on Nov. 15 that 47-year-old Robert David Gibson came onto the school's grounds, and an electronic tracking device showed he was there for six minutes between 5:27 p.m. and 5:33 p.m. on Thursday.
Deputies said Gibson was a passenger in a vehicle that was delivering food via a delivery service. He did not exit the vehicle, according to video and electronic monitoring information.
According to a press release, Gibson has been registered as a sex offender since 2005 and has previously been convicted of entering upon school grounds.
Gibson is being held at the Davie County Jail under a $37,500 bond. He was also charged with violating his parole, for which he received no bond. He has a court date of December 13.
