SURRY COUNTY, N.C. -- Surry County Officials have arrested 11 people after a six-month investigation of a meth operation.
Deputies first began investigating a home on Southview Street in Mt. Airy in the Flat Rock community. Officials learned some people coming to and from the home had outstanding criminal charges.
On June 9, deputies arrested Annette Marie Freeman of Mt. Airy and Sara Leigh Sawyers of Cana, Virginia after they left the home with 50 grams of meth. Deputies began investigating other people connected to Freeman and Sawyers.
Jimmy Cole Pike, Andrew Ryan Thompson, and Ashley Luann Goins were also arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop near the Southview Street home.
Deputies issued a search warrant of the home on Southview Street and found methamphetamine, items of drug paraphernalia, and a handgun. James Michael Trevathan, Edward Bruce Austin, Sue Ann Dunn, Peggy Lynn McMillian, Tommy Haskell McMillian, and Sonya Kaye Chappell were arrested inside the home.

Edward Bruce Austin was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $10,000.00 secure.
Sue Ann Dunn was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $10,000.00 secure.
Peggy Lynn McMillian was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $10,000.00 secure.
Tommy Haskell McMillian was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $10,000.00 secure.
Sonya Kaye Chappell was arrested on outstanding warrants for failing to appear on drug and weapons charges. Bond was set at $15,000.00 secure.
