Medical Assistance Call Turns To Drug Bust In Graham: Deputies

According to the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office, they responded with EMS to Payne Road in reference to a call of a man parked in the roadway unresponsive.

GRAHAM, N.C. — A call for medical assistance resulted in a drug charge against a Burlington man Sunday.

According to the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office, they responded with EMS to the 1400 block of Payne Road in reference to a call of a man parked in the roadway unresponsive.  

Once on scene, medical responders discovered the man was asleep and did not have a medical emergency.

As police attempted to identify the man, a small plastic bag of cocaine was found in his wallet.

The man was identified as David Parra Aquino. Aquino was charged with Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance and transported to the Alamance County Detention Center under a $5,000 secured bond.
