GRAHAM, N.C. — A 38-year-old man with multiple outstanding arrest warrants, including two for attempted first-degree murder, was apprehended Tuesday in Haw River, according to the Graham Police Department.
Graham PD said officers responded to the Days Inn on Truby Drive related to a call about counterfeit money. When they arrived, an officer "determined that the subject responsible for passing the counterfeit money had provided a false name."
Ryan Everett, 38 of Kinston, fled on foot when officers attempted to detain him, but he was apprehended a short time later. After officers were able to properly identify Everett, they found out he had the following outstanding warrants across four separate counties:
- Attempted first-degree murder (x2)
- Discharging a firearm into occupied property (x6)
- Felony breaking and entering
- Larceny after breaking and entering
- Possession of stolen goods
- Injury to personal property
- First-degree burglary
- Larceny of a firearm
- Assault on a female
- Attempted uttering
Everett is being held at the Alamance County Detention Center without bond, according to the Graham Police Department. Stay with WFMY News 2 for any updates on this story as they come.
