EDEN, NC - Eden Police have identified Sunday night's shooting victim as Rodney Kallam of Maple Lane.

Police are investigating if a man wanted on attempted murder charges last week has connections to the Sunday night shooting.

Corey Keen is the prime suspect in a crime spree that started last week involving an attempted murder and shootings into homes.

UPDATE: Monday afternoon police confirm Keen was in custody after turning himself in.

It's undetermined if Sunday's shooting is connected to several other shootings over the last week according to a release from police.

Lt. Lamberth says this latest shooting happened shortly after 7:30 Sunday night outside a house on the 400 block of Glovenia Street. Officers found Kallam, 37, dead from a gunshot wound.

Keen is still not in custody and police are telling people to be on the lookout.

Police say Keen is wanted for attempted murder following a shooting at a convenience store that may also be connected to shots fired into two homes.

Keen was charged with one count of attempted murder for the shooting at Petty's Mini Mart on Morgan Road on Wednesday.

Police say on Friday, officers responded to a call involving shots fired into a home on Short Morgan Road around 9:30 p.m. About two hours later, police say they responded to a second call of shots fired into a home on Flynn Street. Police say no injuries were reported.

A pair of related shootings happened over the weekend. On Saturday night, shots were fired into a residence in the 400 block of Monroe St. around 11:20. Sunday morning, another home was shot into on the 1300 block of Carolina Ave. around 5:30. Police said there were no injuries at either location.

No charges have been filed in the Friday, Saturday and Sunday shootings.

Anyone with information is asked to call Rockingham County Crime Stoppers at 336-349-9683.
