SURRY COUNTY, N.C. — A man stabbed his sister and another woman at a home in Pinnacle on March 23.
The Surry County Sheriff’s Office got a call about someone being cut or stabbed in the 200 block of Ayers Road. Deputies found Melissa Ann Collins, 48, and Meagan Cheyenne Collins, 24, with stab wounds. The women were taken to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in serious condition.
During the investigation, Colton Ryan Collins, 27, was arrested on two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
Investigators said the incident started over “an aggressive assault” between Colton Collins and Meagan Collins, who are brother and sister.
Colton Collins is in jail on a $300,000 bond. He is expected in court on April 13.
He is also expected to face more charges, investigators said.
