Thomasville man stabbed to death by neighbor

THOMASVILLE, N.C. — A man stabbed his neighbor to death after reporting a break-in to deputies.

Deputies said they got a call around 10:00 p.m. Tuesday about a stabbing on Reddy Foxx Lane in Thomasville. When deputies arrived, they found a man on the porch with stab wounds. 

The man stabbed, Randy Hunt, was dead at the scene. Fred Thomas Dyles, Jr., the person reporting the break-in, said Hunt was his neighbor. Dyles told deputies that Hunt had tried to break into his home before he stabbed him. 

The investigation is ongoing.

The Randolph County Sheriff's Office said Dyles is facing a second-degree murder charge.
