24-year-old shot, killed on Thurmond St. in Winston-Salem, police say

The Winston-Salem Police Department said 24-year-old Taekwan Semaja Franklin was taken to a local hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound, where he later died.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A man has died after being shot in Winston-Salem Monday evening, according to police.

The Winston-Salem Police Department said they received a call to the 900 block of Thurmond Street about a possible shooting. When they arrived at the scene, no victims were there.

After an investigation, detectives learned that 24-year-old Taekwan Semaja Franklin was taken to a local hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound, where he later died. 

Police determined that Franklin was shot on Thurmond Street and this investigation is ongoing.
