HIGH POINT, N.C. — A man is dead after a shooting in High Point early Friday morning, according to High Point police.
Shortly after midnight, police were called to E. Lexington Ave where a large crowd was in the parking lot for an unofficial fireworks show.
Officers found two people shot and began to render aid. One victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Keith Lynch, 32, was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Multiple shell casings were found in the road and will be examined to determine the number of casings recovered and the calibers.
High Point police said the investigation is ongoing.
