Man found guilty of attempted rape at High Point University dorm

Phillippe Joseph Warren Saieed was sentenced to 24 years in prison.

HIGH POINT, N.C. — A jury found a man guilty of attempted rape after he broke into a High Point University dorm back in 2021.

On Friday, the Guilford County Clerk of Court in High Point confirmed Phillippe Joseph Warren Saieed was convicted of one count of attempted first-degree rape and sentenced to 24 years in prison. 

High Point police said Saieed broke into an HPU dorm back in December 2021 and attempted to rape female students, who fought back.
