Man charged after firing shots outside apartment building in High Point

High Point police said there was property damage and no injuries.

HIGH POINT, N.C. — A man is facing multiple charges after firing shots outside of an apartment building in High Point, police said. 

Officers responded to the area of East Green Drive on Monday around noon where they found Rodney Moore, Jr., 58, who was armed. Moore followed commands, dropped the gun, and lay down on the ground. 

Moore was arrested and charged with many charges including second-degree trespassing. 

Officers found the fun with an extended magazine and an extra magazine with ammunition at the scene. 

There we no injuries but there was property damage, which included a glass door and window. 

This investigation is ongoing.
