Man faces several charges after firing multiple shots in the air in Graham on Halloween, police say

Police said no injuries were reported.

GRAHAM, N.C. — A man is facing several charges after firing multiple shots into the air on Halloween, according to the Graham Police Department. 

Sesar Sosa Jimenez-Aguilar was charged with the following: 

  • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

  • Discharge of firearm in the city limits

  • Going armed to the terror of the people

  • Injury to personal property

  • Injury to real property

  • Simple assault

On Oct. 31 around 11:30 p.m., officers responded to calls reporting gunshots near the 100 Block of N. Main Street in Graham.

Police said a disturbance had escalated when the man returned to his vehicle, grabbed a handgun, and fired multiple rounds into the air. No injuries were reported. 

Jimenez-Aguilar was taken to the Alamance County Detention Center with a secured bond of $30,000.
