ELON, N.C. — A man was arrested for threatening mass violence at a church in Elon on Saturday, March 2, according to the Alamance County Sheriff's Office.
The incident involved a former church member, Kevin Wayne Dillard, 35, who had asked a Friendship Baptist Church security team member to be let in the church on Sunday.
The security team member did not let him in, alleging threatening comments made by Dillard.
Deputies said the church pastor was informed and contacted the sheriff's office.
Deputies arrested Dillard and charged him with communicating a threat of mass violence.
He was taken to the Rockingham County jail, where he is being held without bond.
