GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro made an arrest in a deadly shooting that happened six months ago.
Police arrested Jamaar Nichols, 39, in the shooting death of Susan Renaye Fox, 41.
The shooting happened on June 12 on West JJ Drive. Police said they responded to the scene for an unknown medical problem that night. They found Fox had been shot, and she was taken to a hospital by EMS. She later died from her injuries.
Investigators said Nichols and Fox knew each other but did not say how. They said they were able to make an arrest based on interviews and physical evidence.
Nichols is charged with first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a felon. He's being held without bond in the Guilford County Jail.
