GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — A Triad principal was arrested and charged with driving while impaired in Guilford County on Nov. 1, according to court records.
Court records indicate the man is Jermaine Lee Porter, 43, of Greensboro. Porter currently serves as the principal of Lexington Senior High School, according to the website of Lexington City Schools.
Lexington City Schools issued the following statement to our news team: "We are aware of the pending charges regarding the principal at Lexington Senior High School. The school board has currently approved a disciplinary suspension without pay. At this time, since this is a personnel matter, we are not able to provide any further information. Thank you for your understanding."
