GREENSBORO, N.C. — A man accused of bringing a gun to a Greensboro elementary school is back in jail after making bond for his earlier arrest, according to Guilford County inmate records.

Police arrested Jonathan Coley in April after they said security video showed Coley breaking into Irving Park Elementary with a long gun.

Here's a closer look at the timeline of Coley's arrests.

First, police arrested him on April 13 for several charges, including possessing a weapon on education property, breaking and entering, and other drug-related charges.

Coley appeared in court on April 17, where a judge deemed him a threat to the community and banned him from all Guilford County Schools. Coley was also ordered to give up guns and ammunition when asked to do so by any law enforcement officer and undergo a mental health evaluation before any potential release.

Coley made a $25,000 bond on Thursday, May 2, and was released.

Then, the next day, on Friday, May 3, police arrest Coley for the second time.

This time, Coley is in jail without bond.

WFMY News 2 reached out to the county to find out why Coley was arrested again.
