STOKESDALE, N.C. — The latest: Deputies say an arrest has been made in the Stokesdale homicide investigation. Here's the newest information.
A homicide investigation continues Monday on Eversfield Road in Stokesdale. Deputies have K9s searching the area for a suspect.
The crime happened on Sunday. The Guilford County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to a homicide in the 7800 block of Eversfield Road around 5 p.m. Sunday, crime scene tape can be seen around the property as they continue their investigation.
Deputies said they found Troy Scott Surface, 38, with multiple gunshot wounds. EMS and Fire Personnel pronounced Surface dead at the scene.
A suspect hasn't been arrested, but deputies said it was an isolated incident and there are no threats to the community.
The investigation is ongoing.
