HIGH POINT, N.C. — A man is facing a murder charge in High Point Saturday.
High Point police said they responded to InTown Suites at 2860 N. Main Street on an assault with deadly weapon call around 2:25 a.m.
Officers found Kelvin Blackwell Jr. , 32, of Reidsville. He was declared dead at the scene.
Police identified Refugio Z. Morales, 34, of High Point as the suspect.
He was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
Police said this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.
