High Point Man Arrested For Cutting Man With Knife

A High Point man is facing an Attempted First Degree Murder charge after police say he cut a man twice with a knife.

HIGH POINT, N.C. -- A High Point man is facing an Attempted First Degree Murder charge after police say he cut a man twice with a knife.

Officers told WFMY News 2, John Calvin Ingram, Jr. 62, was arguing with Cory Brockington, 31, over a woman and escalated into a fight.

When police arrived to the apartment on Taylor Street, they found Brockington lying on the floor with two wounds. He was taken to High Point Regional Hospital and is listed in stable condition. He is expected to be okay.

Police said they do not anticipate charging anyone else in the incident.

Ingram is in the Guilford County Jail under no bond.
