HIGH POINT, N.C. — He was reported missing earlier this week. Now, High Point Police need your help tracking down Tanique Allen's killer.
Police found Allen's body on East Commerce Avenue, not too far from downtown. Detectives say he was shot to death.
On Tuesday, investigators in High Point received information of an alleged assault on Allen, but they couldn't find him.
He was listed as a missing person, and that information was entered into a statewide database.
Since then, High Point Police received many tips and crucial information from the community. The tips were investigated, and Allen's body was found in the area of East Commerce Street.
Police wouldn't go into detail about when or where specifically Allen's body was found.

Kevin Reynolds, says he saw police in the area on Wednesday.
"If somebody around here did do it, it could be somebody that we see every day. We could be speaking to them and saying hello and you never know. They could do you the same way."
An autopsy will be done to determine Allen's official cause of death.
This area of High Point is no stranger to violent crime within the last couple of weeks.
On Sunday night, a house on Franklin Street, not far from this crime scene, was shot at least 20 times. The family there moved out fearing for their safety.
