HIGH POINT, N.C. – A former Walmart employee who’s charged with sexually assaulting two boys also worked at the store as Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. That’s according to a police report.
Caleb Bowers, 20, appeared in court on Monday and was given a $2,000,000 bond.
Bowers who’s from Trinity, was arrested after two separate incidents involving sexual assault inside the High Point Walmart store on South Main Street. Check The NC Sex Offender Registry List
High Point Police said a parent reported that their 12-year-old son had been approached by a Walmart employee in the electronics section during a visit to the store on January 27, 2018. On March 31, 2018, High Point Police received a similar complaint. Another parent reported that their 10-year-old son had been approached by a Walmart employee in the toy section during a visit to the store.
Police said both the boys were unattended in the store and engaged in conversation prior to the criminal acts occurring. Bowers is charged with 1 count of Felony Statutory Sex Offense with a Child by an Adult and 1 count of Felony Indecent Liberties with a Child from two separate incidents.
Bowers cannot go to Walmart or have contact with witnesses or the victims.
He will appear again in court on June 15.
