MADISON, N.C. — A former Madison police officer is facing charges.
The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation said that Clint Smith was served with a criminal summons for 2 counts of dissemination of harmful materials to a minor Thursday.
Smith was placed on leave by the Madison Police Department in September and the case was referred to the SBI.
