Arrests made after 5 people were shot in Lexington, deputies say

DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — A Davidson County man was arrested for allegedly shooting and injuring five people after a fight in a Lexington neighborhood, according to Davidson County deputies.

On Dec. 14, Samuel Tiller was arrested and charged with three counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill, inflicting serious bodily injury, and one count of possession of a Firearm by Felon.

He received a $25,000 bond for the charge of Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and was held without bond for Assault with a Deadly Weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious bodily injury. 

Additionally, Denise Tiller was arrested and charged with Aid and Abet Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and was issued a $7,500 bond.

On Nov. 29, five people were injured in a shooting after a fight in a Lexington neighborhood, according to deputies. 

The Davidson County Sheriff's Office said it happened on Wednesday on the 7000 block of NC Highway 8.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they found five people suffering from gunshot wounds at a home. All five people were taken to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, according to the Davidson County Sheriff's Office. 

After an investigation, detectives said an "altercation" happened in a neighborhood that led to a shooting involving multiple people. 

There is no word on the condition of those who were shot at this time.
