GREENSBORO, N.C. — A second suspect was arrested in connection to a shooting after a Dudley High School football game that happened back in September.
The Greensboro Police Department said they arrested 18-year-old Amari Singletary on Monday.
Police said he was charged with the following:
- First Degree Murder
- Discharge of a Weapon Into Occupied Property
- Assault with a Deadly Weapon
- Possession of a handgun by a minor
- Possession of a Firearm on Educational Property
- Felony and Misdemeanor Hit and Run
A judge found Singletary to be a "danger to the community" so his "bond will remain a hold".
During court, the prosecutor said he was identified as a gang member and Matthew Grant was not his intended target. Investigators said Grant was just an innocent bystander.
