WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — UPDATE: Winston-Salem police said Travis Anthony Leslie, 62, has died Thursday from injuries related to the shooting. The investigation is ongoing.
A man is dead, and another is hurt after a shooting in Winston-Salem Tuesday night, police say.
Officers said the shooting happened just after 11 p.m. inside a home on Edgeware Road.
They said they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were identified as 61-year-old Rex Dion Payne and 62-year-old Travis Anthony Leslie.
Payne later died from his injuries. Leslie was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police said the victims knew each other and at this time no charges are pending for Leslie.
Officers said they are still looking for the suspect(s).
