2 dead in Graham shooting, police say

Graham police said they arrested and charged a man for first-degree murder.

GRAHAM, N.C. — Two people have died after a shooting in Graham late Friday night, police say. 

Officers said the shooting happened on E Hill Street just before 10:30 p.m. They found two men with gunshot wounds. 

One man was found dead on the scene and a second man was airlifted to a local trauma center with life-threatening injuries. He later died at the hospital.

Following an investigation, officers arrested 52-year-old Derrick Ramont Spencer and charged him with first-degree murder and possessing a stolen firearm. 

This investigation is ongoing.
