CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A 33-year-old pregnant woman is recovering after an incident on Sunday morning.
A woman, later identified as 42-year-old Kimberly Price, used the pregnant woman's car and ran the victim over, according to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department report. Police said Price knew the woman was pregnant at the time. The victim is 17 weeks pregnant and suffered some broken bones. It was not released if the injuries impacted her unborn child.
The incident happened in the 830 block of southbound Interstate 85.
Price has been charged with battery of an unborn child and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and her bond was set at $5,000. She was released on Monday with electronic monitoring.
