Burlington man arrested for shooting man multiple times, police say

Investigators said they believe that the suspect and victim were known to each other, and it was not a random act.

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Burlington police said they've arrested a suspect in an April shooting. 

Police said 38-year-old Marche McCoy was located in Wake County and taken to the Alamance County Detention Center on Monday. He's been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. McCoy received no bond. 

Police said the shooting happened April 27 on Harris Street. Officers said they got a call about a man who'd been shot multiple times. The victim went to the hospital where they were listed in stable condition. 

Investigators said McCoy and the victim knew each other and this was not a random shooting.
