Burlington Police Make Several Arrest In Connection To April Shooting, Robbery

BURLINGTON, NC (WFMY) -- Colton Kyle Murray was murdered by a single shot in the back on April 13, 2018, in the 1000 block of Tarleton Avenue.

After days of investigating, no arrests were made in connection to the shooting.

Six months later Burlington Police arrested Ezra Dejesus Brent, 21 years old, in connection with the April homicide.

Brent was arrested in Burlington by Burlington Police, Alamance County Sheriff's office, and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations (SBI) Fugitive Task Force.

Brent was arrested for 1st-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

It was also discovered that the homicide took place as a result of an armed robbery.

After the arrest of Brent, there were several other arrests made in connection to the homicide.

Kristiana Mancini, 22, of Graham was arrested October 3, for Felony Obstruction and confined to the Alamance County Jail under a $150,000 bond.

In November, Burlington Police made two more arrests in connection to the case.

Joselyn Carden of Burlington and Jacqueline Frost of Dunn were arrested for conspiracy to commit robbery and were confined to the Sampson County Jail and received $50,000 bonds.

Finally, three more arrests were made Friday.

Devonta Hinton, Donte Harbour, and Kaleb Freeland were all arrested for 1st-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon.

All three are currently in the Alamance County Jail being held without bond.
