Man arrested after robbing pizza delivery driver in Burlington

The driver told police he was robbed by a man with no shirt on.

BURLINGTON, N.C. — UPDATE: Burlington police have arrested a man in connection with a robbery involving a pizza delivery driver Tuesday night. 

Officers arrested Cedrick Deonne Wright Wednesday morning. 

Wright was charged with one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon and resist/obstruct/delay. He was arrested and transported to the Alamance County Detention Center and placed under a $50,000 secured bond. 

A pizza delivery driver was robbed in Burlington Tuesday night, according to police. 

They say the robbery happened shortly after 11 p.m. in the 600 block of Cameron Street. A 61-year-old man was the driver. 

The driver told police that he was robbed by a man with no shirt on. The suspect stole money from the driver and threatened him with a gun. 

There were no injuries reported by the victim. This investigation is ongoing.
