ASHEBORO, N.C. — Two people were grazed by bullets Tuesday in Asheboro, according to the Asheboro Police Department.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Kemp Boulevard after a report of a suspected shooting. When they arrived on scene, they found two victims "in the vicinity" of the 1300 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
The victims were identified as Javon McBride, 19, and Jahmel Roberts, 27. McBride was at a residence when he was struck by a bullet that grazed his face. Roberts was in a vehicle and was struck by a bullet that grazed his leg.
Both victims declined medical treatment, according to police. No other injuries were reported.
Suspect information is unknown at this time, the department said.
