BURLINGTON, N.C. — Burlington police arrested a man accused of setting two mobile homes on fire.
Jose Oscar Santiago-Dimas, 45, surrendered and was taken into custody on Sunday. He was taken to the Alamance County Detention Center and received no bond.
The Burlington Police Department said around 12:30 p.m. on May 3, two mobile homes on the 2000 block of Maple Avenue were set on fire, and no injuries were reported.
Investigators said that due to the suspicious nature of the fire, they launched an investigation and identified 45-year-old Jose Oscar Santiago-Dimas as the suspect. They said he was a resident of one of the homes.
Police said Santiago-Dimas is wanted for two counts of first-degree arson and one count of burning personal property.
