HIGH POINT, N.C. — High Point police officers arrested two 15-year-old boys on Monday, July 29 after receiving reports of armed robberies, according to a release.

The officers worked with rangers with High Point Parks and Recreation to find the two teenagers after a woman called 911 to report she'd been robbed at gunpoint for her bag, according to police.

The robbery allegedly happened on the High Point Greenway near Terrell Drive and Kimmons Avenue.

Minutes later, High Point police said they got another call reporting another armed robbery in Burnett Park on Montlieu Avenue. The victim said the teens held a gun to him and tried to take his tablet.

The police department then deployed a patrol division and K9 unit to find the suspects. The two boys were located at a house in the 2000 block of East Lexington Avenue, police said.

Neither victim was hurt during the robberies.

Police searched the house and found stolen credit cards from the Greenway robbery.

Both teens were charged with armed robbery, armed robbery-attempt and five counts of financial transaction card fraud.
