THOMASVILLE, N.C. — Detectives arrested an Archdale man who was wanted on a number of charges, including kidnapping, hit-and-run, robbery, larceny of a motor vehicle, and assault by strangulation.
It happened Friday during a traffic stop in Thomasville. Davidson County sheriff's detectives said Hunter Spencer, 19, was combative as he was being taken into custody and tried forcing the driver of the vehicle to run from law enforcement.
The sheriff's office said Spencer was wanted by law enforcement in High Point, Thomasville, and Davidson County on several various charges.
DCSO said the day before Spencer was arrested, he rammed a deputy vehicle in the area of Hill Road and sped off. In that case, deputies issued warrants for fleeing to evade arrest, possession of a stolen vehicle, and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon on a government official.
