4-Year-Old Shot in the Face in Winston-Salem

Winston-Salem police confirm that a boy was shot in the face and rushed to the hospital.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Winston-Salem Police are investigating after a 4-year-old boy was shot in the face. 

Around 2 p.m. on May 8, police responded to a reported shooting on Countryside Court. When they got there they found a four-year-old boy with a gunshot wound in his face. 

Forsyth County EMS rushed the child to Brenner's Children Hosptial. The child underwent emergency surgery. He's in stable, but critical condition. 

Winston-Salem police said they're in the early stages of their investigation and they're not releasing any names or further information
