3-Year-Old Was With Victim in High Point Shooting

U.S. Marshals arrested two men and a woman in connection with a double shooting in High Point on Wednesday afternoon.

HIGH POINT, N.C. - U.S. Marshals arrested two men and a woman in connection with a double shooting in High Point on Wednesday afternoon.

It happened near Henley Street and Davis Street at a public housing complex shortly before 4 p.m.

The U.S. Department of Justice says U.S. Marshals charged Shacoby Lindsey and Danlonta Lindsey with First Degree Murder and Shalla Lindsey with Accessory after the Fact.

Shacoby Lindsey is accused of shooting and killing David Lee Antwan Gainey, 26, of High Point. A second gunshot victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police said they a 3-year-old was walking down the street with Gainey when he was shot. They're looking into Gainey's relationship with the child, who wasn't hurt. It isn't believed that Gainey was the father of the child.

The DOJ says Shalla Lindsey is suspected of giving false information to police to help Shacoby Lindsey avoid arrest.
