ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. – The Rockingham County District Attorney’s Office has filed to dismiss 22 pending charges against a 76-year-old man charged with child prostitution.
Documents reveal there’s insufficient evidence to warrant prosecution against Mickey Snow for the reasons of:
- Insufficient evidence to warrant prosecution for the reason" after thorough investigation and medical evaluations there is insufficient evidence as to the element of "severely or profoundly mentally disabled person.”
- Other charges have been indicted pursuant to the investigation
Charges dismissed included various counts of the following: Patronizing a prostitute, statutory rape/sex offense, second-degree forcible sexual offense, and promoting prostitute of a minor.
Snow had already been charged with several related prostitution charges including six counts of Sex Offense with a Person 15 or Younger.
The District Attorney’s Office recently announced Snow’s trial would be moved. It’s scheduled to start February 19, 2018 in Catawba County.
