YADKIN COUNTY, N.C. (WFMY) – Two other people have been charged in connection with the death of a North Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper. A suspect already in custody also faces additional charges.
The Highway Patrol said both Michaela Harrison and Mona Lisa Mullins have been charged after a consultation with the Yadkin County District Attorney’s Office.
Michaela Harrison has been charged with Accessory After The Fact of Second Degree Murder and Aid and Abet Second Degree Murder among other charges.
Mona Lisa Mullins has been charged with Felony Obstruction among other charges.
In May, Dakota Whitt was wanted for murder after the death of North Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper Samuel Bullard.
Bullard died after a high-speed chase while pursuing a suspect on Interstate 77 in Elkin.
Whitt was taken into custody during a traffic stop in Wilkes County. A judge ordered Whitt to be held without bond. Whitt now faces additional charges including Felony Obstruction among other charges.

- 1 count of Possession of Methamphetamine
- 1 count of Accessory After The Fact of Second Degree Murder

Mona Lisa Mullins
- 2 counts of Felony Obstruction
- 1 count of Possession of Methamphetamine
Dakota Whitt
Harrison received a $250,000 bond and Mullins a $100,000 bond.
