GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Break out your ice skates! WFMY News 2 Winterfest is back!
This year's Winterfest is at Greensboro's new and beautiful LeBauer Park. The fun kicks off Friday, Nov. 18 at 4 p.m.
We'll have live coverage of the grand opening in our newscasts. Be sure to come say hi!
There will be live music, free food, face painting, inflatables, prizes, ice skating, ice sliding, and...delicious Chick-fil-A.
This is our station's seventh straight year as Winterfest's title sponsor. WFMY News 2 General Manager Larry Audas shared his excitement about this year's event.
“WFMY News 2 is extremely pleased to host our community’s go-to outdoor event in what is now the best of locations," said Audas. "WFMY News 2 Winterfest in LeBauer Park will be a winner for everyone.”
Special features for Winterfest include new upgraded transparent rink walls, a community holiday tree decorated by children's craft classes at LeBauer Park, new learn-to-skate equipment for kids and local fundraising partnerships with Triad Goodwill and Guilford County Schools.
WFMY News 2 Winterfest will open November 18, 2016 and continue through January 29, 2017. We can't wait to see you there!
