BLOWING ROCK, N.C. — Tweetsie Railroad will not be open the weekend of Oct. 11-13 for Daytime or Ghost train operations due to part of the park being without power, according to its Facebook post.

Repairs and storm cleanup continue at the park as well.

The state has issued a Western North Carolina Travel Advisory and Watauga County has a curfew in effect from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.

For those that have pre-purchased tickets must email Tweetsie Railroad to request a full refund. Include your order number when emailing them.

The theme park said under these circumstances, it cannot commit to a firm reopening date. In the meantime, a #TweetsieMatchingChallenge has been announced to help raise funds for hurricane relief and rebuilding efforts for the community that was affected.

For more information and updates, visit the theme park's website.
