This year's Homecoming was one for the books as Aggies make plans for next year's Greatest Homecoming On Earth

Over 20,000 people celebrated last year's Homecoming with even more people for this year's event.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — It's called the Greatest Homecoming On Earth for a reason. After a week-long full of events, homecoming has officially wrapped for North Carolina A&T State University.

From the fashion show to the Blue and Gold Drumline to the step show, that Aggie pride was on full display this weekend!

We caught up with Aggie Alumni Ariana Johnson who considers herself a "Double Aggie" —having both graduated as an undergrad and graduate student from A&T University

Ariana said she's lost count of how many Homecomings she's attended but she said it speaks to the comradery of the school seeing new and returning students come out every year.

"We have so many great departments so many graduates who are doing amazing things right now. I think it speaks to how big of a family we are, and everyone is willing to come back and just catch up to old times," Johnson said.

A&T Freshman Terrence Maddox Jr. said this year's Homecoming was his first time but certainly won't be his last. And when it comes to the hype, Maddox said it certainly lived up to the name.

"It's a new world of possibility and I've been meeting a lot of new people everything about it is just great. I come from town and I never had opportunities like this so I'm just utilizing it to my potential," Maddox said.

Preparations for next year's Homecoming are already underway. The North Carolina A&T State University announced on their Twitter the start date for next year is October 19, 2024.
